Why I Started Writing
For a long time I treated ideas as something to keep in my head; a quick note here, a half-finished thought there. This is my attempt to change that. Writing forces me to actually finish a thought, and to find out whether it survives contact with a blank page.
What this space is for
My work sits at an unusual intersection: metallurgy and materials on one side, machine learning and optimisation on the other. That overlap throws up problems I find genuinely fun, and I'd like a place to think out loud about them. Expect posts on:
- How I'm learning the machines using Machine Learning
- Optimisation over messy, real-world design spaces
- The quiet elegance of phase diagrams and alloy design
- And occasionally, life as an under-graduate student at IIT Kharagpur
Where this goes next
I'm not promising a schedule. I'd rather publish something worth reading occasionally than fill this page with noise. If a post here makes one idea click for you, that's a win.
Thanks for reading the first one. More soon.
